Who is Blessed Union for?
Blessed Union is for adults aged 18 or older. Discovery membership is for single Christian men and women seeking marriage to one another. Faith and intentions are your own declarations; the service does not certify faith, spiritual maturity or a divinely chosen partner.

Create an account with your own email address and password, then confirm your email before signing in. Complete your profile and the verification steps shown in your account. Creating an account does not approve you for discovery or chat. Never share passwords or confirmation codes.
Open registrationConfirming your email and signing in
Find the next step when a confirmation email is missing, a link expires or you cannot sign in.
Confirm the email address you registered with before signing in. Email confirmation shows access to that inbox; the other account checks are separate.
- Check your inbox and junk folder. On Sign in, open Need a new confirmation email? and enter only your email address. You can also request another email from an expired-link page. You do not need to register again. Follow the latest email you receive.
- If you have forgotten your password, choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page. Use the recovery link for the account’s email address.
- If you can sign in but a status looks wrong, open Verification. If the problem continues, tell support which step failed and the error wording. Leave out passwords, confirmation links and codes.
Understanding your verification status
Understand the account checks and what you need to complete before meeting other members.
Open Verification for your current requirements. Required setup includes confirmed email, phone confirmation, your profile and private date of birth, and an approved profile photo. Phone confirmation alone does not complete the other steps. Optional identity and human Photo checked reviews are free and do not require a paid membership.
- Read each status separately. Email confirms access to your inbox; phone confirmation checks access to your number. Neither confirms your age, faith or character.
- After phone confirmation, you can choose the free Didit identity check when available. Didit privately checks your ID or passport and selfie to help reduce impersonation and underage accounts. This is optional and does not replace ordinary safety judgement.
- The separate optional human Photo checked review compares your submitted camera photo, document portrait and approved profile photo. Didit approval does not automatically earn this badge. A pending profile photo does not need to be uploaded again.
- If a step is unavailable, fails or cannot be completed accessibly, send support the step name and error wording. Never put identity images, document numbers or a phone confirmation code in a support request.
Why choose the free ID or passport check?
The optional Didit identity check helps reduce impersonation and underage accounts and helps protect the community. It uses a valid government-issued photo ID or passport and a selfie. Verification is free for every member, including members without a subscription. It cannot guarantee someone’s safety, faith, character or relationship status.
- Confirm your email and phone, and record your private date of birth in your profile first. Then open Verification and follow the ID or passport instructions. Didit shows the documents supported for your country.
- Read the privacy notice and consent before continuing to Didit. Your document and selfie go directly to Didit for the private check; identity documents are not shown on your profile.
- After completing the hosted check, return to Verification and use Refresh check status. Returning alone does not confirm approval. If the check needs review, expires or fails, follow the recovery message or ask support for help without sending ID images or document numbers.
Why can’t I receive a phone code?
Confirm your email first and enter your number in international format, such as +64 for New Zealand. Complete the security check if one is shown, and wait for the resend countdown before requesting another code. Delivery availability varies by country and carrier. If the page says delivery is unavailable, contact support with the error wording. Your phone remains unconfirmed until a code is successfully checked; never share that code with support or another member.
Open phone confirmationWhat does Photo checked mean?
An authorised human reviewer completed the submitted-image comparison with the approved profile photo. This optional review is free. Email confirmation, phone possession, the optional Didit document/selfie check and human photo review are separate. Didit approval does not automatically grant a Photo checked badge. The badge does not prove faith, character, relationship status or safety. Identity images remain private and do not become profile photos.
Read about private image handlingProfile photos and private identity images
Present yourself honestly while keeping identity documents out of your public profile.
Your profile helps another person begin to know you. Use photos and words that reflect who you are today, and share everyday examples of your faith, interests and hopes for marriage.
- Use your profile editor to manage member-facing photos. If a photo is pending moderation, wait for its status to change; uploading the same image again is not needed.
- Keep identity images in the private Verification flow only. Do not upload an ID or passport as a profile photo, or send it through support or a member conversation.
- If your recorded birth date is wrong, ask support for help with that detail. Describe the correction needed without sending an identity document or its number.
Discovery and mutual conversation
Check why a connection is unavailable and begin conversations with care and mutual choice.
Ordinary conversation opens when a connection is mutual and both accounts meet the requirements. A Like or Intro expresses interest; it does not create an obligation to respond.
- If discovery or chat is unavailable, check your account steps on You: profile, approved photo, verification and membership choices. Then check discovery pause in Settings.
- A pause, block, closed connection or recipient preference can affect contact. Respect the other person’s choice; support cannot grant their consent or promise a reply.
- When a conversation opens, respond to something the person chose to share. Ask one thoughtful question, share something honest about yourself and allow time for an answer.
How does the Prayer garden work?
The Prayer garden is a members-only space to request prayer and offer encouragement. Anonymous hides your name from members, but authorised safety staff can identify an author when investigating a concern. It does not open a private conversation or override blocks.
- Open Prayer garden from Home or You. Leave out other people’s identifying details, contact information, documents and requests for money.
- Under My requests, add an update, mark a prayer answered or reopen it, close encouragement, or remove the request. An unanswered prayer never means someone has less faith. Your discovery pause does not hide prayers you choose to share.
- Report concerns on a request or encouragement and flag urgency when appropriate. Your identity is not shown to the author. Staff do not monitor continuously. Immediate danger needs local emergency services, not a website report.
- Removal takes the request and its encouragement out of the garden. Account export includes your own contributions, and account deletion removes them. Previously reported evidence can remain privately for the limited period explained in Privacy.
Dating with Christian faith and practical wisdom
Bring prayer, honesty and Christian community into getting to know someone, without rushing certainty.
Following Jesus should shape how we treat one another: with truthfulness, patience, humility and respect for each person’s freedom. A profile or match cannot tell you whom God wants you to marry.
- Pray for wisdom as you get to know someone (James 1:5). Ask how faith shapes ordinary life: church community, service, handling disagreement and hopes for a future family. Share your own answers with the same openness.
- Look for patience, kindness and truthfulness over time, reflecting on 1 Corinthians 13:4–7. Discuss differences in Christian tradition and expectations for marriage without turning a conversation into an examination of someone’s worth.
- Keep trusted friends, family or church community involved. Take time to notice whether words and actions agree, and make room for either person to decide that the relationship should not continue.
Christian care includes respecting a no. Claims about God’s will, forgiveness or spiritual authority must never be used to pressure someone into contact, intimacy, secrecy or remaining in a harmful situation.
Read the guide to dating with wisdomReporting a member or blocking contact
Choose the right control for unwanted contact, concerning behaviour or an immediate danger.
You can set a boundary without proving that another person is unsafe. Christian kindness does not require continued access to you, and forgiveness does not remove the need for boundaries.
- Use Block on the member’s profile or conversation when you need to prevent further contact. You do not owe the member an explanation.
- Use Report on the profile or conversation for concerning behaviour. Describe what happened accurately through that flow; general support requests are for account and technical help.
- For immediate danger, contact your local emergency service. The support inbox is not an emergency service and cannot promise an immediate response.
When meeting someone, choose a public place, arrange your own transport and tell a trusted person your plans. Shared Christian language and verification badges do not replace practical care.
Read safety guidancePrivacy, pausing, exporting and deleting your account
Take a break, review what you share, download your data or close your account.
You are free to take time away. Settings brings together your privacy choices, discovery pause, blocked members and account data controls.
- Pause discovery hides your profile from new selections and pauses sending new Likes and introductions. Existing choices, connections and conversations remain available.
- Review the profile details you choose to show. Visibility changes apply to future views; they cannot take back information someone has already seen or shared.
- Use Download my data if you want an account export, including your support requests and staff replies. Deletion is irreversible: read its confirmation and retention information in Settings before proceeding.
Sending an issue and finding the reply
Give the support team enough context to help, then return here to check for a reply.
On Contact support, choose account, verification, technical or privacy. A clear description makes it easier to understand the problem without asking you to repeat it.
- Say which page or step you were using, what you expected and what happened instead. Include the exact error wording and, for a display or camera issue, your device and browser.
- Leave out passwords, confirmation links or codes, ID images, document numbers and payment details. This form accepts text only; identity evidence belongs in the private Verification flow.
- After sending, keep the request reference and return to Your requests on the support page. Use Refresh requests to check for staff replies, and Reply to this request to answer a question or add context. Your follow-up stays in the same ticket and returns it to staff attention, even if it was closed. Only staff change its open or closed status. No email notification is sent, and a response time is not promised.
If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] without sensitive attachments. Do not send passwords, confirmation codes or identity documents by email.
Contact supportDo I have to pay to talk to a mutual connection?
Free daily discovery, mutual connections, eligible conversation and essential safety controls stay free. One optional Premium membership is NZ$10 billed weekly, NZ$29 billed monthly or NZ$199 billed yearly. It includes all eligible incoming Likes in Who liked you, searches of visible profile text and interests, discreet discovery, up to twelve photos, unlimited eligible discovery selections and revisiting passed profiles. Free members can reveal one new Like every seven days. Unlimited discovery removes the daily selection cap; available profiles, Like limits and abuse controls still apply. Passed profiles are shown only while current eligibility, mutual preferences, blocks and privacy choices allow. Exploring another location is still being prepared and is not available yet. Membership shows purchase availability and the recurring price before PayPal approval. There is no trial or extra checkout tax. Membership does not promise Likes or a relationship.
Read about costs and changesWhere can I see who liked me?
Open Connections, then Who liked you. Premium shows all eligible incoming Likes across pages, before choosing someone back. Free members can choose Reveal one Like to see one new person every seven days. The wait starts after a successful reveal; opening the page, refreshing or finding no available Like does not use it. Unused reveals do not accumulate. Previously revealed Likes remain available while blocks, privacy, current eligibility and connection status allow. The page shows when your next reveal is available. Mutual connections stay free, and a Like creates no obligation to respond or connect.
Who liked youHow does discreet discovery work?
Discreet discovery is included in Premium and can be enabled in Settings or Discover when paid access is active. Only people you Like, send a pending Intro to, or already connected with can discover your profile. Blocks, pauses, verification and mutual preferences still apply. The mode stays on after cancellation or expiry until you turn it off in Settings. You can disable it or clear old paid filters without a subscription. Previously received information is not erased. Pause discovery and other essential privacy controls remain free.
How do I cancel a subscription or fix a payment problem?
Open Membership and choose Cancel renewal, then confirm. Wait for the cancellation confirmation; paid access continues through its confirmed end date. If PayPal approval is still unfinished, resume it or contact support rather than assuming it has been cancelled. Existing Stripe subscriptions have a separate Manage existing subscription action when available. Pausing discovery does not cancel billing. Completed account deletion stops the subscription; if deletion cannot finish, contact support. Contact [email protected] for duplicate charges, refunds or an inaccessible account. Cancellation does not automatically refund past payments and your legal consumer rights remain.
Manage membershipDoes a call invitation start a video call?
No. Call and public-meeting invitations let you suggest and agree a next step. Blessed Union does not place calls, book venues or supervise meetings. Respect mutual consent and use safety guidance when making arrangements.
Read safety guidanceHow does Blessed Union give back?
We commit to reinvesting 10–15% of our annual net profits into the community through churches and/or charities. This is a share of profit after the costs of running the service, rather than total revenue. Once Blessed Union is profitable, we will publish a yearly giving report showing the amount given and the organisations supported.
